Terms & Conditions
Compensation for services:
A non-refundable deposit of half of the total amount is due with a signed contract. This deposit serves as a retainer and reserves items and services stated in the contract. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event. All payments are non-refundable.
If the remaining balance is not paid 30 days prior to the event, the agreement is null and void. Payments may be made via check or major credit card.
Date Changes
In the event the client is forced to change the date of the event, efforts will be made by Velvet & Vine to transfer all product rentals and services to the new date. The client agrees that in the event of a date change any expenses including, but not limited to deposits and fees that are non-refundable are the sole responsibility of the client. There may also be additional charges above and beyond those set forth in the paragraph above. The client further understands that last minute changes can impact the availability of specific products and the quality of the event and that Velvet & Vine is not responsible for such changes.
Exchanges and Cancellations:
Items may be exchanged if available. Additional charges may apply. Alterations may be made up to 30 days before the event. The Balance will be adjusted accordingly. Payments are non-refundable.
Liability Clause:
Liability and indemnification: The client hereby agrees that they assume all liability caused by any injury from any item leased to them from Velvet & Vine. The client further agrees to indemnify Velvet & Vine in any legal action arising out of any injury or damage allegedly caused by any item leased by Velvet & Vine, including but not limited to the cost of any attorney's fees and court costs associated with any litigation in defense of any said litigation.
Breach of Contract:
In the event this contract is breached by the client, the client agrees that in addition to any actual damages resulting from the breach that the client shall be liable for any attorney's fees and costs associated with enforcing the terms of this contract.
Damaged and Missing Items:
A 10% wear & tear fee will be added to each order. This covers the general wear and tear items incur with ordinary use. In the event an item is damaged beyond general wear and tear, or an item is not returned by the agreed upon date and time, the client will incur additional charges. These charges will include the amount it costs to repair or replace the item. Items not returned on the agreed upon date/time will be charged a replacement fee. (Replacement cost for missing items are often 3-5 times the rental fee, sometimes more.)
